My new favorite pizza place in the city and this comes from a cook trained under a master Pizzaolo (per baker / master pizza cook). Moved to the area and tried Aldo's for the first time. We ordered our standard pepperoni and green Chile pizza and it was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back.
My new favorite pizza place in the city comes highly recommended from someone who trained under a master pizzaiolo. The pizzas remind me of the big slices found in New York and Los Angeles—perfectly thin with a crust that’s both moist and dry, yet never soggy. They definitely deliver, making it my top choice in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas, alongside Dion's and Saggios. The pizzas and slices are huge, as are the calzones. I've ordered from them three times since my first visit!
The food here is not just amazing; the service is outstanding as well. It's busy for a reason! If there's ever a mistake with your order, they'll fix it without hesitation. I had something missing from my order, and they graciously offered to either deliver it to me or issue a refund. Just remember to be understanding and friendly, as their popularity comes from the incredible food they serve. The manager is always there to assist you. My friend visited from Missouri specifically to try the best pizza in New Mexico. Thank you, Aldo Pizza, for everything you do!
*UPDATE* Since my last review, I ordered again tonight, and I have to say the cake was so much better than before. Bravo! I’ve decided to make Wednesdays pizza night from now on. A few months ago, I started ordering from Aldo and really enjoyed her cakes. I understand that the Covid situation has made things difficult, but when I order a cake with extra cheese, I expect it to meet the quality from my previous experiences. The last two times I ordered an extra-large cake with a well-prepared crust and extra cheese, I received one that had barely any extra cheese and was poorly made, with the crust not having the right texture. I prefer a little crunch in my dough. We might need to place orders on different nights, depending on who is preparing the cakes. After trying this approach, if I don’t see the quality I expect, I might consider going elsewhere or even making my own cakes.
