Great option of healthy vegetarian dishes in downtown Rio. Also on Fridays is the traditional Brazilian dish known as feijoada in the vegetarian version. Nice to visit and check out!
A good option if you're in Central. The place is spacious and I didn't feel out of place bringing a book.
Muito boa opção para um almoço totally vegan na região central do Rio, perto do Saara e da praça Tiradentes. O restaurant tem dois flats e opções são varieds. Buffet um quilo.
STOP PRESS: it is now fully vegan! Well, it's not really stop pressing it is totally vegan as it replaces the honey in the dressings with molasses four years ago. Confirmed with the owner via the WhatsApp link on their website. I've been here for 15 years when I visit Rio. Here is my first review of 2008: I visited five buffets listed by Rio 's Happycow during my last stay in the city, and that was the best of the lot. Fully vegetarian, probably completely vegan, with a good selection of delicious items at a decent price. Fifteen years later, I was seven times in two weeks, and it's still very good. Unusual items such as since and bred cauliflowers, and with the usual clamps and excellent salads, always delicious. There is a day for day menu published on their website every week when there is something specific you wanted. Don't worry if the menu says fish it vegan tofu and seaweed not the real thing. It is open day lunch (except holidays) and at these times it is not dangerous at all, it is in the middle of an busy shopping district that is perfectly safe in the shopping times. It is a step from the Tiradentes tram stop and a simple walk from the Saara/President Vargas subway. Updated by previous review on 2023 04 04
