After I learned from the show about this restaurant, someone came here for Jubilee, I was intrigued. Gilson #highlifereport was able to bring us to the waiting list on Friday 3 July. The reservation was for 2 and we showed up with 3 people. We could sit on the terrace, which was picturesque and quiet. Each course of meal was unique and delicious, clean flavors melting together for a divine meal. Anyone who complains... View all feedback.
What Gabriela Idiarte B doesn't like about Lasai:
Extremely desappointed. I've been going to Lasai restaurant for the last three years and it was always excellent! Everything. Last night none of the dishes were good. Everything had a lot of salt. I couldn't drink the wine. We are not going back. So frustrating, we wanted to show this place to family visiting Rio and it was a complete disaster. View all feedback.
Great experience and service we did the larger tasting menu with the wine pairing on a Thursday night it was quite, but more people came much later around 9 pm. The larger menu included 14 courses: 9 small bites, 3 larger plates, and 2 desert courses. The plates included a lot of creative vegetable dishes which I loved. Definitely worth the price.
Occupying 6 of the 10 seats available at the Chef’s Table we explored regions of Brazil through local and regional produce and proteins. We started with a series of “snacks” progressing into the main proteins and finally a series of desserts. My favourite snacks were the eggplant, ikura, and potato and the arrowroot, hearts of palm, and Brazil nut. It was great to witness the orchestra of the chefs at work and the beautiful kitchen. Truly a memorable meal with some ingredients that I have never encountered before. Thank you to Chef Rafa and his team for a wonderful evening. 1 Michelin , 22 on LATAM’s 50 Best, 78 on World’s 100 Best.
What a wonderful experience! So delicious and creative. The service was outstanding, and I loved the wine pairings.
I had a lot of expectations coming and I was a bit disappointed in terms of taste. The staff was great and the informal setting kept it light and fun so I had a great time. But in terms of the food itself I did not love it. There were at least 3 dishes that just did not make any sense in terms of flavor/texture/ingredients.
5 Super friendly and professional staff. Great food and a plus that they work with organic produce. The chef’s table atmosphere works well and the direct communication with the team is fantastic. 1 With one exception, all wines in the pairing were French. The quality was great but when you promote local and organic produce in your menu, why offer wines from the other side of the planet? Especially when there are plenty of Brazilian, Argentinian and Urguayan organic wine producers. Think global, act local. 1 Food poisoning after the dinner. 24 hours above the toilet. It can happen to any restaurant. Especially while working with oysters and raw fish. However, after sending them an email about the food poisoning, they never even replied. When spending this amount of money, communication should also be at a decent level.
