The presentation of the food was good. It came sharp and neatly packed. As soon as I opened it, the error showed. The Caesar Salad was devastated and inconspicuous. It was easy to say that it has been sitting around for some time before it was thrown into our order. The shrimp and spaghetti meal was of much better quality and taste. My wife had the Gnocci, which again showed good presentation and was quite delicious... View all feedback.
What Simon Alves doesn't like about La Mole:
What was once one of the best restaurants in Tijuca now serves average food at relatively expensive prices. It's still traditional, fancy and casual, but not the same. View all feedback.

My wife had the Gnocci, which again showed good presentation and was quite delicious after my wife. If they hadn't thrown into an old salad. My rating would have been five stars. In addition to such an old and venerable institution, they should know better!
Nice place, good food, but the service has to be better. They're not polite sometimes. It's like asking for a favor (although we're paying) instead of a guest that should be treated respectfully.
Average food, if a bit overpriced. Service is good, but feels like they don't enjoy overstaying much :p

Maybe this is the best restaurant near the neighborhood. The buffet is exquisite.
