Spring - Ringwood
Spring
Description
A budget-friendly, neighborhood Chinese in Ringwood with a huge menu and beloved staples—fried rice, dumplings and spare ribs—often served quickly by friendly staff in a clean, casual space. Regulars praise value and lunch combos, but consistency is an issue: dishes can arrive overcooked, mushy, overly spicy or bland, orders and timing sometimes falter, and management/service problems have been reported. Worth trying for favorites and price, but call ahead about spice and availability.

I ordered takeout and got the pineapple fried rice with vegetables, but when I received my food, it turned out to be mushy white rice instead of fried rice—it looked like watered-down mashed potatoes. I didn't even eat it and ended up throwing it away. When I went back inside to explain that my order was incorrect and showed the staff the food, they refused to refund or replace it. I wouldn't recommend this place. I’m very disappointed!
The food is fantastic! It’s neither greasy nor overly rich. We didn’t experience any stomach issues, and we don’t feel bloated or uncomfortable at all. This has become our new favorite Chinese restaurant!
She checked the receipt and noted I had paid for two beverages. I politely explained that I had paid for two 20oz sodas, which they didn’t have, and asked if I could get the replacement I wanted. She replied that she gave me Sprite, to which I pointed out that it had been taken by her son. She retrieved it and went back to the cooler, but her son then began sucking on the Snapple bottle. Eventually, she brought me a 16oz Diet Dr Pepper and wished me a good night. I told her I wasn’t accepting the Snapple since her son had been using it. When I got home, I discovered that the Snapple was six months past its expiration date, and the Dr Pepper I received was only 16oz. Additionally, the coconut shrimp I ordered turned out to be just regular fried shrimp, and not the jumbo size advertised. It was overcooked to the point of being burnt. The pad see ew noodles were mushy and overcooked as well. I hope this was just a one-time occurrence because I’ve eaten here before without any problems. However, this experience left me quite disappointed.
