We have frequented Juan’s for years. Food is excellent, some people complain that it’s over priced but the quality and quantity is worth it. HOWEVER… if you are looking for good service, forget it. Great food, good atmosphere, beautiful location. Friendly staff, good service, I had Mahdi Mahdi, served with rashes and vegetables. The cost of four with drinks were less than $1200 pesos, top included. A steal.
My friend and I stayed on the beach and saw Juan's place was full. We decided to try. My friend had the chickens and I had the breast-eye steak. We also had fresh guacamole. Everything was... huge proportions and fresh. It was wonderful. Very nice dinner from the resort. Will be back when we're back in the area.
We saw Jain about 8 years ago and we were thrilled, the food was great and the service was great. Quick to yesterday. Jaun is a little nicer now, but the service was terrible. I commanded guacamole with... no onions that fries our friends. After a long wait the guacamole came out and it was loaded with onions! I mentioned this at our service and she said that I never sat "No Onions" when everyone on our table said I didn't say any onions. She came back 5 minutes later and said they would make me one more, but they would have to pay for it. I said no. We finished our drinks and the Pommes and had to go to the bar to get our bill and pay for it. There were 4 of us and there were 4 chocolates with the bill. We paid the chocolates and went when our server asked where the tip was. We told her that we were not happy with the service or food, so no tip and then they asked the chocolate back. Jauns use to go the place to good food at reasonable prices and good service, but is now over price and not so good service. We will now go down to Vicrors two doors, we were treated with respect and have a good service. Goodbye Jauns
Amazing food. HUGE drinks! Fantastic location! It was great. Big group ate burgers and the Club House Sandwich. It was awesome. HUGE portions. You could easily share!
