This was our second visit to this restaurant for me and my wife. The staff is welcoming, attending and polite. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food magical. For us (and I understand that might be very subjective, so take my opinion with a grain of salt) the evening here is a journey, accompanied and guided by people passionate about taste and memories that it brings. The chef presents every dish and is glad to explain how it came to be as well as the intricacies of preparing it with honesty and humour. The sommelier does the same for wine and an interesting collection of juices. It is not only about tasting the exquisite dish here, but also about the act of serving it and discussing the experience, which is made very personal, but in a polite and careful way. I wish the best to the team that made this experience possible in Riga. Will certainly visit again. And probably again after that.

Excellent!! I don 't even know where to begin, because what me and my friend experienced was something out of this world. Max Cekot kitchen is the best restaurant and food experience we ever had. Food was absolutely delicious and unique. We had 9 course set menu which included variety of different kind of meat, fish, sea food and dessert. Along with food we choosed wine pairings. Flavours were elegant, aromas like fruits, berries, herbs, tobacco and almonds. These wines will leave an impression in the back of your mouth. Presentation of food was pure art and what more important Max (owner and chef) presented every dish and explained what are ingredients and how they are made. Me, as person who also works in food industry, this was even more exciting. He inspires so much that I just want to jump in my kitchen and experiment with new flavours. Thank you so much! You and your team made us feel very special and we enjoyed everything starting from meeting&greeting to food and atmosphere! We definitely going to come back. P.S. Service was excellent!!!!
