Draugu Seta is a restaurant in the Plavnieki area. The building is made of wood, with an indoor dining area, two spacious outside dining or drinking areas, a bit reminiscent of German beer gartens, with lots of plants, as well as separate rooms or chalets for private dining or business events. The food is great, freshly prepared I got a tour of the kitchen and the wood-smoking and grill at the back where the shashlicks are grilled and the bread is baked fresh) In the back is also a garden where fresh herbs and vegetables are grown. Very friendly and helpful staff who speak Latvian, Russian and English and/or German. Female owned!er. Take this detour and have a wonderful brunch or dinner. Also, sometimes on Friday there are disco evenings after dinner. Jolly good fun, nice people and good DJ. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €10–15 Vegetarian options: V. good salads, vegetarian soups and please try the Draniki potato pancakes). Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Parking: Nice to take a walk around Plavnieki. Original Soviet style apartment buildings, lot's of green and I recommend the Bookstore closely which has a good selection of foreign language books as well as cool gifts. Kid-friendliness: Draugu Seta has a little playground for children. We saw a lot of kids running around.
Went for a birthday event so I can't speak in price/value for money and we had one of the private areas. Atmosphere in the he main area seemed nicer but at least we had privacy. Food was good. Everyone ate a lot. Would definitely try again. Staff were just teenagers and a bit lost and confused. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
