Trattoria Pizzeria Da Ciccio - Rieti

We were on our way to Park Hotel Villa Potenziani and we found this trattoria. It's really big inside, really didn't expect that. Then again, I don't think they were expecting a table of americans either. Between our attempts at Italian and theirs at English we were well served. The food was delicious and simple, the meal was so inexpensive (great value) and the owner and wife were VERY Friendly. Classic trattoria from the past. Simple with genuine food, cooked like you were at home. Excellent prices. Simplicity accompanied by abundance and goodness. We had lunch here with our basketball team during a game. Menu consisting of two first courses very plentiful, served with serving pans, passed and re-passed several times until exhaustion , a second course of roast with baked potatoes, wine, water and drinks for the modest sum of €20.00 per person not even the cost of a dish everywhere nowadays). Simplicity and honesty characterize this place, it's a shame not to have it close at hand . Highly recommended for anyone who is nearby, even just passing through .
