Cosy but light and brigh... read more Went for a few wines and a cheese board after visiting the gallery. Small but nice and considered menu, and the ambience was very nice. Cosy but light and bright. When we went to leave I was shocked and stressed to find that my winter coat had been taken from the communal coat area. BUT we spoke with one of the ladies who worked there and she was very sweet and attentive. Understood why I was worried and then escorted us back to the main gallery to go look in the main coat area, where thankfully we found it (no love to the person who just ditched it there!! I didn’t catch the girls name but I wanted to extend thanks because she treated me and the situation really well. Thank you!

Well cooked and well presented. The only negative thing is that the portions are modest relative to the price. You may want to take a first course (salad/soup) and a main course. Otherwise, you may walk out still hungry. The choice on the menu is limited but almost everyone will find something that would be suitable.

I... read more It's a special place in Riehen. Awesome Flammkuchen and salads. The views and sunsets are great! I love the well maintained garden, especially the tall trees. I also love the artsy crowd from all over the world that enriches my stay at the restaurant, even though I don't know jack about art. Despite that i feel very welcomed at the restaurant and it's also great for kids to play hide and seek among the trees.
