Joey's Bakery - Ridgway

I had a steak sandwich and homemade potato chips, and it was outstanding. My wife ordered the roast beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes. It was good, but not exceptional, and it was served at a rather lukewarm temperature. We ended our meal with some fantastic peanut butter cookies. The service was a bit slow and felt somewhat disjointed, likely because it was early lunchtime.

The country fried steak here is not what I expected; it's more like a pan-fried steak smothered in a rather unremarkable gravy. A genuine country fried steak should be tenderized, coated in panko breadcrumbs, and deep-fried, served with a flavorful white pepper gravy, similar to sausage gravy. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend their version of country fried steak.

Love the omelets their literally the BEST in elk county! the grilled cheese is also really good I can't ever decide between the two when we eat here! I also love the vanilla cake donut with sprinkles I'm Not sure if they changed the icing but the lastfew times I got one the icing was different it didn't taste as good to me however my kid still loved it! I really hope the otherkind will still be made as they're my favorite! Either way I highly recommend eating here if you haven't or even if you have lol

The food is excellent, and the staff provides outstanding service. Be sure to take home a thick slice of their fresh white bread. Despite the current political irresponsibility and rising inflation, I found Joey's prices to be quite reasonable. Enjoy your visit!
