Sensible Fork - Ridgewood

From the dining experience to the service to the atmosphere, everything at this restaurant is fantastic. I came here with my sister after a night out and we were truly impressed by the quality we encountered. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and efficient. The food was outstanding - both in presentation and taste. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return to try their brunch and lunch menus. This place is incredible. We went to celebrate my friend's birthday dinner. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. My friend has a milk allergy, so our server Maggie made sure that all of the dishes she ordered were dairy-free. The chef went above and beyond to accommodate them, even preparing a separate plate of garlic bread without butter. Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were generous. We had shrimp noodles, crumb tower, filet mignon, chicken picatta, linguine with mushrooms, gluten-free chocolate molten cakes, and two flavors of ice cream. The filet mignon was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the sweet potato puree was outstanding. The gluten-free cakes were so rich, they felt indulgent. The best part was the dairy-free ice cream, which tasted just like the real thing. My friend was finally able to enjoy ice cream without worrying about her allergy. Even though I'm not a health-conscious eater, the whole meal felt like a guilty pleasure. I can't praise this restaurant and its staff enough. I can't wait to go back. I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. The food was decent, but it was way too expensive! We ordered 2 egg dishes, a pancake, and 2 coffees and ended up paying $42, yet still left feeling hungry. The service was good, but I wish I could have had more to eat.

Awesome health conscious american fare traditional all day breakfast, paninis, burger, smoothies, fresh juices, suppen all made with fine dining room cooking technique. everything is simply perfect from good sea to meat, vegetables, brot roasted and sweet potato frits crispy and non-fat, delicious freshly prepared suppers to the freshly pressed or pressed juices and smoothies. the owner said that the soups are all gluten-free and all meals can be made gluten-free. they have a separate area to prepare the gluten-free foods. I will come back!
