Tico's Steak House - Ridgeland

We're here for jubilee dinner. This place is very cozy and great staff. The food was amazing. Very nice setting for special occasions dinner. The white Sangria was also amazing

Our steaks were originally $58, but when I and my husband got the bill, we noticed that we were charged $164 for 2 Ribeye Steaks. When the waitress questioned, the waitress rushed and took the extra of us. But 2 days after my departure I received another fee for $21. I won't return. The first and last time. I really think it's too much hype around the restaurant. You know exactly what it's about as soon as you get in.

The food was wonderful. Thick steaks and huge shrimps. All shaved over the chocolate cake and ice cream. The service was excellent. The prices were somewhat steep at $30 for shrimps and $40-$60 for steak.

Pricing reflects history. Parking a little tight. Very nice architectural elements for atmosphere. Meal was presented with care. Lighting a tad dark for myself, but lends itself to privacy. Good experience overall.

Overall experience was disappointing. There was an odor in the bar area. All the food seemed to have been rushed. Like warmed up. Stuffed mushrooms that I had there at the bar tasted fine but I could see where the plastic wrap had been pulled off and then set in a warm oven for several minutes. My to go order came out few minutes later. The loaded potato was plain hard in the center. The medium rare NY strip was pink to edge. Steak was pretty good just undercooked. Broiled tomatoes the same. Granted I have a 20 minute commute to the house but that doesn 't explain the undercooked potato, tomatoes and steak.
