What User dislikes about Olvera's:
Went here as a recommendation from a friend. He suggested the chili Verde. It didn't disappoint. The pork simply fell apart. The portions were large but not too much. I know this is silly but the salsa on the chips and salsa appetizer that they give you for free was really good. I would also recommend the horchata. The service was quick and friendly. Glad I went to this place. View all feedback.

Our favorite restaurant I can’t say enough good things about Olvera’s! It’s become a go-to spot for me and my entire family, thanks to their mouthwatering dishes and the warm, welcoming vibe from every employee. Here’s what stands out: Friendly Employees: From the moment we walk in, the staff greets us like old friends. They’re always quick with a smile and genuinely seem to enjoy making sure we have a fantastic time. Delicious Food: My absolute favorite is the Mexican Flag—with no beans and all rice. The combination of flavors in that dish is pure heaven, and it’s always perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Family Atmosphere: Whether I’m dining with just one other person or bringing the whole family along, the atmosphere feels cozy and inviting. We never feel rushed, and the staff makes every visit feel special. Consistent Quality: No matter how many times we go, the food is always spot-on. It’s great to know we can count on Olvera’s for an amazing meal every single time. If you’re in the mood for delicious, authentic Mexican food served by some of the friendliest people around, you can’t go wrong with Olvera’s. It’s definitely earned a top spot on our favorite restaurants list! Kid-friendliness: yes kids eat great
Stopped by with my family while visiting my grandmother. We all loved our meals. I had the chimichanga yum Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This place was a pit stop from death valley national park. Their outdoor patio was nice with two TV's to watch sports. Their staff was super nice and asked us many questions to make sure we were taken care of. As for the food. It was kinda meh. I ordered the tecate tacos with carnitas, asada chicken and all of them were dry. They didn't have salsas outside of what the tortilla chips were. However I will say their complementary chips and salsa were good. Nice good spicy kick but not meant for tacos.
Very friendly staff, food is good it's not pricey Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Shrimp Fajitas, Peach Chimichanga with Ice Cream
Nestled in Ridgecrest, this family-owned Mexican restaurant impresses with its authentic cuisine and friendly service. Diners rave about the generous portions and standout dishes like chili verde, enchiladas, and the crispy cheese dish. The complimentary chips and salsa earn particular praise for their freshness. While some guests enjoy flavorful meals and satisfying margaritas, others express disappointment over bland dishes and lackluster presentation. Nonetheless, the majority of patrons commend the attentive staff and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular stop for both locals and travelers alike. With meals priced reasonably at $10-20, it’s a great value for a fulfilling dining experience.

The food at this restaurant is tasty, and they are very willing to accommodate elderly customers who require special seating arrangements.
Typical Mexican diner. Excellent quality/price. Typical genuine, tasty and abundant dishes. Friendly service.
Stopped at this restaurant on the way to Bishop and was pleasantly surprised. The food was authentic Mexican and tasted just like home in San Diego. My wife had a beef taco and tamale and for a 5 foot two woman she ate it all : I had a beef taco and Tostado with rice and beans, tasted great and filled me up.We had chips, salsa and guacamole. The chips and guac were amazing. The salsa wasn’t really that hot for me, but then again could be for someone else .There’s plenty of parking off the main street. I took a picture of the front door because it’s around the front and it’s a little hard to find if you don’t know what to look. They have a full bar and two rooms for drinking and dining. They have a new patio, but are not allowed to serve alcoholic beverages outside as of yet, although they have applied.Highly recommend this if you need Mexican food, fix food and service with a smileForgot to add we had two mango margaritas and as you can see from the pictures they were massive. :
Very, very good food and a friendly welcome.Price performance was very good.We took Mexican Flag and particularly recommended Horchata as a drink.

We saw restaurants on google and Olvera’s came highly recommended, so we decided to try it in the city for a night. this is a small jewel, excellent eating, fast friendly service and a great atmosphere. I don't think they can go wrong with any court here, and the churros are amazing. the prices are fabulous.
We love getting takeout from this restaurant, but dining in is even better. The food is always hot and fresh, and we are thrilled that they now offer a full menu. We appreciate that they fill their veggie burrito with a variety of vegetables instead of just meat and cheese like many other restaurants or taco shops. The beer selection is good and we prefer it over mixed drinks or wine. We keep coming back because the food is delicious and cooked in the restaurant's unique style.
This restaurant surprised me. the place was very inconceivable from the outside and a bit older in the inner, but the service was nice and I had a really delicious steak burrito for $8. you can eat well there.
This has become where my man me go to... its our spot in Ridgecrest. Mexican Flag combo, it includes 3 enchiladas you get 1 of each. Have it with a Corona with lime, it's the perfect combination!

We love taking from here, but the food is better in. Hot and fresh! So glad we have full food now. I guess they fill the Beggie Burrito with vegetables and not just rice and beans like many restaurants/taco shops. Filled beer is fine not to interfere with mixed drinks or wine. Come because the food is great, house style cooking.
Chicken enchiladas with beans and rice were delicious. Chili Verde burrito, wet, also super tasty. We were there between lunch and dinner on a Saturday. It was very quiet, which was nice. Server was knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient.
Nice atmosphere. Good Food at Good Prices. Very clean bathrooms. Friendly service. No flies or other pests seen. Nice old fashion family owned Mexican Restaurant
We decided to grab a quick brunch here before heading to Death Valley and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and tasty, and we were pleased that they could accommodate vegetarian preferences. The Chili Relleno was perfectly cooked, not overly baked like in other places. The rice and bread were also excellent. I wasn't a huge fan of the vegetarian burrito, as it mainly consisted of roasted vegetables like zucchini. I should have asked for guacamole on my vegetarian taco, as I'm sure they would have happily added it. I want to mention that my friends who ordered the fish and shrimp dishes were very satisfied with their meals.
I decided to try the Chili Verde at this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation, and I was not disappointed. The pork in the dish was incredibly tender and the portion size was just right. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the salsa served with the complimentary chips was. I also highly recommend trying the Horchata. The service was efficient and the staff was very friendly. Overall, I'm happy I chose to dine at this restaurant.
