The Western - Rickmansworth

I had a reservation, but when I arrived, they insisted they couldn’t find it, despite my email confirmation. Later, I received an email stating that my reservation was "under audit." The staff was not very accommodating and informed us that they did not serve food.

The kitchen was closed during the World Championship, and three staff members confirmed we could bring in outside food. However, the owner then approached us to say we shouldn’t do that, even though his employees had previously assured us it was fine. I would never visit this place again; it was my first time here, and there are much better sports pubs around.

Why didn't anyone reach out to inform me about this error? I can’t be the only one who thinks this is unacceptable. I was really let down because I expected someone to contact me regarding the issue, especially since they have my contact details from the reservation. What's the point of providing that information if no one uses it? Given the cold weather, we couldn't stay outside and ended up leaving after just 10 minutes to watch the game from home. Honestly, the service was very poor this time, which is disappointing, especially since my previous visits had been enjoyable.

No non alcoholic beer available and was instead offered a 5.1% peroni and told there isn't much alcohol in it. Suspect you might not try that line with vegetarians, Staff didn't know how to work the TV's and a fuse blew mid afternoon. Comfy sofas though
