Was trying to figure out, after my recent experience, why this restaurant was #2 in East Witton and not #1. I think it’s partly the rooms letting it down, and people’s expectations from price. The Blue Lion at East Witton is a classic well-preserved Wensleydale coaching inn with great period comfort and charm.
Had the halibut but at over £32 it was so disappointing. A meagre portion size and so thin it was dry on top. For the price the quality was very poor
