With a glut of good places to eat in the area, ones like these stand out. And you know it’s good when you see it busy from early in the day until late in the night. Like many good restaurants, you are given a soup starter (on the house) as well as Chinese tea. The food is very good with my favourite front the Singapore noodles. As a big lover of duck I had to order it and see how good it was. Wasn’t disappointed. And... View all feedback.
What Boon K doesn't like about Pacific Seafood BBQ House - South Yarra:
Its an institution from what I've been told, and I would rate it a solid option, but there are better in Melbourne. Good for roast meats, and pretty good for fresh seafood. Pricing is good, although their seafood is slightly higher than average compared to other places. And they really shouldn't be able to charge higher than average, because the dining environment needs a renovation. Pipi XO clams not too bad here! G... View all feedback.
My wife and I have lunch and occasionally dinner here once every few weeks, during the past 20 years. The food is okay and prices are reasonable. You get what you pay for. If you want better food and better service, go and pay double the price at better restaurants.
Great Hong Kong Style restaurant featuring an amazingly abundant choice of dishes. Food is high quality typical Cantonese fare with lots of BBQ meats, crabs, lobster and general seafood along with the usual stir fries and other yummy dishes. The BBQ pork and lemon chicken were just two choices our group thoroughly enjoyed. Busy and noisy with smart service and all at a good price. We’ll be back for sure.
Eat here with friend and partner at least twice a month. Always great food and quality. Has not disappointed once.
My wife and I and our grown up children have been regular customers of this restaurant over the years and have recommended it to friends and family. The other night we went there and had a pleasant enough meal. However it didn't end that way. Perhaps I should have guessed something was not right when I asked the waiter for a new plate as mine was chipped and had a large crack in it. He grabbed it from me and got one from another table and returned it in a gruff manner. The meal was ok and then we went up to pay. We questioned the amount as it seemed more than expected and asked for a breakdown. The young man at the counter had trouble understanding us but he didn't have any trouble suggesting that maybe the problem was we couldn't afford to eat at the restaurant. I was shocked at his comment and my wife got very upset. If this is any indication then Pacific Seafood House has gone downhill.
Had a simple dinner there tonight. Not complicated meal and got a bill with many breakdowns. I asked the young man cashier to explain to me. His English is bad but I am ok with it. His manner is the one that I could not understand how he managed to be employable. So rude from attitude to his limited English I asked to speak to the manager and he said he is the manager which I know it is a liar, unless his patents own the restaurant.Whatever I say good bye to this restaurant and good luck to others who do not mind to put up with terrible unprofessional customer services.
