Curry King - Richmond

Me and 5 of my friends visited Curry King on the 3rd of January and we had a fantastic meal. We all ordered a different dish each for our starter and main to share amongst us all and I haven't one bad complaint. The chicken korma, and the buttered chicken were devine. Service was good. A wee hidden gem!

We've been here a couple of times and the food is really good and great value for money. The service leaves a bit to be desired, but the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommend the Butter Chicken and Chicken 65. As far as value goes, there were 6 of us who all had 2 drinks, an entree, main, rice and naan and it was about $30 a head.

I love a good curry - unfortunately it was not here! Chicken was way overcooked. Tasted like it had been sitting in a food court for hours. The curry itself was heavy and bland.

We ordered food for a special occasion on New Year's Day through their website and were told to expect a wait of only minutes, but it ended up taking over an hour for our food to be ready. Our guests were left waiting and frustrated, while the staff seemed indifferent and failed to provide any explanation for the delay. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was no manager available. The food we finally received was disappointing, with naan so thick it was like slices of bread and curries that lacked flavor. Overall, the experience was a disaster and we will not be returning to this restaurant again.

I was here with my family and wanted to wait for a table. we waited and while we waited many other people after we came in, and we have a table before us and they had no booking. we left and went otherwise, where and never will return. we are also local so that we now go much more pleasant in an Indian restaurant in sandgate.
