A friend recommended The Tea Box to me when I mentioned I wanted to find a quiet and beautiful place to relax. The tea box exceeded my expectations with its wide variety of teas, tempting cakes, and friendly staff. I started off with a mychai tea (a house blend) and a slice of carrot cake. With a great selection of teas, luscious looking cakes and friendly staff, you can't go wrong. I started with a MyChai (a house blend) and a slice of carrot cake. The cake was divine, the tea delicately spiced but I have to admit not my favourite chai. I then had the Vanilla Black Tea at the suggestion of the waitress, it was delicious! I'm not one for vanilla flavours but in this blend it ads smoothness and isn't in any way overpowering. Will definitely pay another visit if in the area.

A visit to richmond is not complete without some time spent here: the teapots, the atmosphere, and their scons are just adorable. the place also hosts some story-telling events and actually tries to support local communities and gatherings- so if you have a group of people meeting regularly you can talk with them for special offerings and a homely feel for your gatherings each time. I really feel relaxed here, as the place is so full of peace, warm and smelling good coffee lovers can also enjoy the place, so dont get confused by the name. this is not the place to be in a hurry, so take your time and settle yourself in the corner lounges.
What a fantastic time I had here! I've well and truly found my new favourite place in Richmond. The atmosphere of this place is remarkable there's a little old-school bell that tinkles whenever the door opens, and there's some great artwork on the walls. The rest of the decor is simply very quaint: rustic furniture and adornments everywhere, including a coat hanger with loads of antiquated coats and hats on it. Music playing softly in the background, oscillating between piano and strings tracks, gives it an incredibly relaxing vibe. The lovely woman that served me helped me choose my tea, since I was stuck between vanilla mint and Moroccan mint. She suggested that latter, and that's...read more
