Ordered takeout for the family. Everything was timely, ready and well prepared for pickup. The food was quite good - not your typical run-of-the-mill Chinese food. Reminded me of our favorite Hakka style place in Mississauga. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Garlic Onion:
The food was really bland and the portions were small. Even though there was barely anyone at the restaurant at the time, the time they took to serve the food was pretty slow in my opinion. Once the food arrived, it was really badly seasoned, usually too salty or way too bland. It also had a weird after taste. If you feel gutsy, and are eating alone I would recommend you try it for yourself, but definitely never ever... View all feedback.
Great customer service, quickly prepared and delicious food. we're just here a few times, but the owners recognize us both and look forward to having us back. they made this clear with their special rice plate for our child (see photo.) if they like Asian cuisine and they are in richmond hill, this is the place to go.
If they are the suppenart, they must try the schezwan rinderbrisket nudelsuppe at this place, which is part of their lunch menu. the bark pieces are delicate and juicy. well marinated and slowly boiled to perfection. the broth is delicious and tangy. it has a kick of seasoning that is not too spicy to meet them at the right place. the umami art of feeling when they have the first bite of meat or have a swallow of suppe. the feeling is sometimes indescribable on comments. you have to try to experience it.
Really nice place overall, the place looks really nice and clean, and eating is really good. I didn't try everything there, but the price is pretty good for the proportions. the personal is also really nice! I'm a student and so when it's lunchtime it can be hard to find out which place to eat, as when I was lunch with my friends, I could smell her and it looked really good. when I went to the restaurant, I asked about the student special, which is a healthy size to take container of huh, rice and sauce. the man who welcomed me was very nice, which is very rare considering that I am student and most people when they see a group of students eating in their restaurant, they either turn away or are not so nice. but not this place, all smile and my eating really fast, so for students in the hurry, this place is really good for the last minute meal before the next class after lunch. when the food came it smells really nice and tasty too! I was also here for dinner a few times because I liked my first experience. 8 dollar is also a really good price for a lot to eat, because high school students are not out of money. overall this place is amazing. great service, good food and fair price points.
My wife and I discovered this place a few months ago. the place is small and clean. server was very friendly. eating was delicious and good price. we returned a second time and the server reminded us and even what we ordered. just picky, what I have to say is that they have pictures of sports cars on the walls. I think they'd be better off if they're more representative of eating. also so, to eat our new favorite place in total! update we just went back there recently, after we were no longer going on one. the owner knew exactly what we ordered last time and was very friendly and friendly. eating was top notch for a meal under $30.
I have gone twice now with my family and I cannot say enough amazing things about this location. Was greeted by Felix who took the time to sit down with us and help us decide what to eat. He even circled his personal recommendations on a menu for us! The food was prepared in a very timely fashion and was fresh and delicious! On our way out, we were introduced to the owners who remembered us on our second visit which made us feel very welcomed. If you want great Chinese food in a friendly clean environment then you need to try Garlic Onion! Keep up the great work guys!
