Subcentral is fantastic! We dropped by spontaneously and were welcomed immediately upon entering. You can watch the chef prepare everything right behind the counter, and it's reassuring to see him wearing gloves and a mask—covering both his mouth and nose—while making our food. The interior decor is quite simple, which is typical for a Greek-inspired restaurant. They offer both tables and booths, the restrooms are clean, and the service is fairly quick. The chef even went above and beyond when packaging our to-go order, ensuring the tzatziki was served on the side to prevent the gyros from getting soggy. During checkout, he confidently mentioned that I had never tasted a gyro like his before, and he was absolutely right! As a devoted gyro lover, I can confidently say these were a real delight—possibly the best gyros in Richmond! We will definitely be returning soon!
