A little slice of Heaven in RVA! My husband and I went here for dinner on New Years Eve and were blown away! Along with the beautiful atmosphere the service and food were out of this world! Everything from start to finish was just amazing and I would highly recommend everyone try this place! View all feedback.
What Kyleigh Torp doesn't like about Spoonbread:
we were delighted to visit this restaurant with its many good reviews. the first impression was very loud and crowded. we were met with the apology that our table was not finished and required a waiting time. that was good, then the people arrived. somehow they were all met and sitting. we have been waiting. then more people who came in after us sat, and it became obvious that we were overlooked. we waited all the ti... 2018-09-14 these people are really nice and really good what they do! Calling, left voicemail with my reservation, calling at 3 pm and someone answered the phone, answered my questions about the parking lot and then I planned the reservation. Upon arrival at 5 pm there was no other, we sat and Paul took our server our order and was an excellent server, he told us the specials for the day, answered questions about the menu and gave recommendations as well. The yeast rolls and honey butter were so good! The cucumber water was unique and the mock tails (non-alcoholic tasted so good. The Caesar Salat and Skalopps with Caramel Maispudding were excellent! The rock and lobster entree was also excellent. We asked for our desert to go and were impressed by the packaging and when we came home, the wafer strawberry shortcake tasted so good. Ordered the chocolate cherry skirt, hope to eat it soon. 2019-04-20 called to schedule reservation, had to call back several times to postpone later in the evening and they reserved the table I requested for an hour (Thank you! , the server was nicely attentive and brought us in and out as fast as he could, even if it began to do after arriving, the oysters were excellent, the special (salmon and chicken straight was good and the spoons and yeast roles were always good!
The first time here. Reservations are highly recommended. There is no place where you stand or sit in the restaurant to wait on a table. There's a bank in the front, but the day we went was windy. Great service was a little slow, but still great. We ordered chicken waffles lump crabcake on fried green tomatoes. Spoon bread of course fruit potatoes. So delicious! We will try out the complete menu again because we only tried brunch.
The synergy of Southern and French finishings is difficult to find elsewhere. The cook is very well known for its techniques and innovations. Go for fine food in a casual environment. Large selection of meat and seafood. There are also excellent wine dinners and private events.
I had disguised the lobster pop that is so delicious and juicy. I also had the salad and the duck. But before you have the pleasure of eating, you will be filled with the most pleasant face introduced as the staff. Overall, I enjoyed the food here very much.
