This is my favourite Richmond restaurant. Easy access from the station and an amazing, friendly husband-wife team running it. They created our very own vegan, gluten-free menu at very short notice, and mixed us wonderful Dark 'n Stormy cocktails. View all feedback.
What ianr doesn't like about 109:
Upon arrival, I noticed a stale odor in the air. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was quite good. However, the decor felt worn and outdated. The restrooms had a smell reminiscent of a chip shop, and the hand towels were very old. My coat was returned to me smelling of grease, and it will definitely need to be dry cleaned. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. View all feedback.
We were terribly late for our booking, having been held up at the Chihuly exhibition in Kew. When we did arrive, the restaurant was about to close. Not only were they gracious about our late arrival, the kitchen agreed to stay open to cook our meal. We all ordered different items and we all enjoyed them very much. Loved the goat's cheese starter. We also enjoyed our Irish hostess who entertained us during the meal. We will definitely return.
What a wonderful find! The service from Maeve was so friendly we felt like members of her family! And all four dishes two starters two mains, one pair veggie one pair carnivore were truly delicious, so much so that we shared a desert, which was also magnificent! They happened to be out of our particular wine choice, but the runner up was very pleasant. Was quiet, even romantic. Full marks!
Excellent as usual. some nice new supplements to the menu.
At the arrival noticed a sting smell. service friendly/efficient. eat pretty good. decor tired. toilets melt like chip shop, very old towel. the weights smell fat. must be cleaned dry. disappointing experience.
The staff was nice, but the food was okay. had lobster and seafood dish that must have been under the hot lamp while my man was made as it was dried. crab and grapefruit with a tomato sauce was a gamble and not as an appetizer in cash. ordered a £40 wein, which was in order, but a screwstock, which was slightly depleted.
