Was Anonym at Viva Java a mag?
This is a little coffee house & roaster with rustic charm run by a friendly veteran of the business that knows & maintains that freshly roasted is the best! I had a most delicious americano black accompanied with a decent biscotti made by a long time local wholesale bakery. Viva Java has a varied high quality selection of beans that one can pre-order. This is a serious coffee joint. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Viva Java:
I stayed at a hotel nearby and decided to search for a place to get a good espresso. I found this restaurant, but my first visit didn't go smoothly because they only accepted cash. I don't usually carry cash, so I returned the next morning and was finally able to order a double shot. The espresso was average and didn't quite meet my taste expectations, so I left feeling a bit disappointed. View all feedback.

This is an awesome Italian cafe that is hidden in Richmond! How come I did not know it earlier?! I thought there was no good coffee shops in Richmond, but

So glad to have found this gem and gotten "a real latte" for a change! Nice and hot, and a good size.

Viva Java, a hidden gem known to locals, is a serious coffee joint with rustic charm and a veteran owner roasting beans for over 30 years. With a varied high-quality selection of beans available for pre-order, this little coffee house offers delicious coffee and decent biscotti from a long-time local bakery. The chic and colorful decor, along with limited outdoor seating and beautiful flowers, creates a charming atmosphere perfect for enjoying fantastic coffee. Viva Java is a must-visit spot for coffee enthusiasts seeking an authentic and educational coffee experience in Richmond.

This café serves some of the best coffee you'll find. I especially enjoyed the mocha. The quality of the coffee beans they use is exceptional, and I highly recommend purchasing a pound or two—you won't be disappointed. They roast the beans fresh each day!

If you’re seeking expertly crafted coffee, this is the place to be. The owner is truly exceptional. However, if you lack a sense of humor and have a sense of entitlement, you may want to consider sticking to Starbucks instead.

In British Columbia, many coffee lovers rely on Starbucks for their caffeine needs, while in Ontario, Tim Hortons unfortunately serves the most disappointing coffee I've ever tried. So, discovering a high-quality, independent coffee shop in BC is a delightful surprise, particularly when the owner is a charming and witty Lebanese gentleman with a refreshingly straightforward demeanor. His years of experience interacting with the public have clearly equipped him with remarkable patience and a profound understanding of people. The cappuccino I enjoy every morning is exceptional—comparable only to what you would find in Italy. It's amusing to see some overly sensitive millennials from Richmond lamenting the absence of Starbucks at this small independent café, although it's also a frustrating reminder of the typical west coast mentality. But honestly, you won't find any coffee here that caters to that attitude!

I ordered a latte, and it was absolutely fantastic! The coffee had a lovely golden color, as the owner pointed out to me. After adding milk, I took a sip without sugar (which is my usual preference), and it was delightful! The latte was hotter than what I'm used to because the owner understands how quickly coffee can cool down, so he made sure to serve it extra hot for me. He even added a little more espresso to enhance the strength of the latte, and it tasted incredible!

I've tried coffee all across North America, and this place is hands down the best! I always anticipate my special visits to Viva Java. I highly encourage you to take the time to stop by and savor a cup made with exceptional care and attention. It’s a lovely spot to unwind on a rainy day, although finding it with your GPS might be a bit challenging.

He promised it would be the best mocha we've ever had, and he was absolutely right. The temperature, roast intensity, and aroma are all spot on, just like the latte. I bought a bag to take home and can't wait to sample all their beans. I think I've just found the best coffee in town. This isn’t a fancy coffee shop made for stylish gatherings and Instagram shots, but if you're passionate about coffee and looking for exceptional beans, you should definitely stop by and meet the lovely couple who runs the place.

The iced mocha was incredibly tasty! I usually don't go for iced coffee, but I couldn't help but steal a sip from my partner's drink. The customer service was outstanding, and I highly recommend this spot! I'm definitely planning to return tomorrow for my own iced mocha! ☕️

Without a doubt, this is the best coffee shop in town! Unlike Starbucks, where you quickly grab your drink and rush out, this place offers a more laid-back vibe. The owner roasts his own beans every day at Viva Java, ensuring that you get fresh, top-notch coffee paired with enjoyable conversations. Make sure to visit Viva Java; you won’t be disappointed!

I frequently travel around the Lower Mainland and love exploring local coffee shops. In my experience, big chains like Starbucks, McDonald's, and Tim Hortons often serve subpar coffee. However, among all the places I've tried, Viva Java truly stands out as the best. I've made it a point to return as often as I can and have even started buying beans for my home brewing. You won't find a better mocha anywhere in the Lower Mainland. It's absolutely worth the trip, even if you're coming from outside Richmond. Grab a cup and enjoy a leisurely stroll around Steveston or Gary Point Park to complete your day!

I'm already looking forward to my cup of coffee tomorrow morning; it's absolutely fantastic! The mocha I ordered is sure to keep me energized all day. I would gladly go out of my way to visit this place again. Plus, the shop itself is really charming!
