Went here last night for my wife’s work Christmas Celebration and everything was very impressive. Despite being busy the staff worked efficiently as a team to clean tables, replenish the buffet with wonderful food which at a cost of $35.00 after tax was worth the price. There was a vast variety of choices at various food stations with Seafood, Sushi, Roast Beef, Turkey, Egg Rolls, Pasta, and even French Fries and Chi... View all feedback.
Been here several times for dinner buffet with friends and this restaurant never fails us. This place is our all time favorite for buffet. Very pricey but definitely worth it. Staff are very friendly and attentive as they always clean your table and check your needs. The place is very busy so expect a long line-up and at least an hour wait.
I've tried out this buffet twice. First time for breakfast and second time for dinner service. It was pretty good for breakfast, lot's of delicious choices. However, the dinner service wasn't that good. For $26 all you can eat, I had pretty high expectations and it just didn't feel that worth it for average food.
I went to all 3 buffet at the River Rock, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I did not go for a Sunday brunch yet. In all 3 buffet, I found that the River Rock buffet is a fantastic one.<br/ <br/ For the Mephis BBQ dinner, I did not have a chance to take picture. Nevertheless, the food selection were fantastic. There were plenty of choices, You can choose between Chinese, Shushi, BBQ section or Salad, also, the desserts and breads are in house made, high quality, bite size and very tasty.<br/ <br/ There were too many choices, and I ate a small pieces from everything. Just one piece, nevertheless, I could only completed 4 plates. After the fourth, I was onto my 5th plate and I was so full. I missed the Shushi. In fact I threw up after the diner because of over eating :D. It is a buffet after all and it is best to try a bit of everything. <br/ <br/ From the food, for the BBQ section, the Currry Chicken taste was magnificient. They have 3 type of sausages and the sausages were high in quality and their tastes were perfectly blend with each other. The mash potato and gravy were perfect. All the condiments were high in quality type <br/ <br/ When I moved to the salad bar, there were 6 types of dressing and a massive amount of fresh vegetables to choose from, including a premade potato salad. For this dinner one, they did not have seafood for the salad bar but they have seafood for the lunch salad bar. Nevertheless, for my taste, I rather have boiled egg then seafood. Nevertheless, the salad bar was perfect as there are also cheese and bacon bit that can spice up your flavor. Can not forgot to mention the tasty Roast Beef and Ham slices. Oh yeah, that cheese slice at the salad bar can also be put in the hot soups that they serve, which was the potato chowder and something that tasted like a Chicken Noodle Soup. Have you tried topping your hot soup with Cheddar and Parmesan? Try it if you have not, you will not be dissapointed..<br/ <br/ Not much can be say for the Chinese section beside great food goodness. The items there tasted exactly how they would taste if you were to buy them from a chinese restaurant. Maybe, perhap better in some instances. <br/ <br/ I could not eat my Shushi roll plate. I was too full. I felt bloated and dead. Food can kill, maybe, who know. Nevertheless, there is no secret in Shushi. Fresh ginger, good Wasabi, good Soy sauce and perfect Shushi rice will give you some great tasting Shushi. I could not taste the Shushi rice because I was so bloated, nevertheless, I tried the Wasabi and ginger dip in Soy sauce and OMG. The freshness and the just right spiciness from that bite may even be better than some Shushi stores I used to go to. The Wasabi just went up my nose and that was a perfect Wasabi that was accompanied by the right type of soy sauce and the fresh ginger.<br/ <br/ The funny part about me? I ate dessert before dinner. There were like 10 choices of dessert or more, nevertheless, I only chose two. The result? Fresh, tasty and what that word again? perfect perhap?<br/ <br/ I was going to write a review for breakfast. Nevertheless, this got too long and I wrote this with my phone. So I will try to shorten this. Maybe I will write a blog post about my experience at the River Rock buffet. <br/ <br/ You should try the breakfast at the River Rock Buffet. I think the breakfast here is very valuable. For breakfast they have the salad bar with yogurt, some hot food with a pork dumpling that taste better than a dim sum place, plain or seafood congee that plain in taste where you can customize the taste with the close-by condiments. The condiment they chose for the congee? One word, perfect. <br/ <br/ Did I mention, egg benedict, sausages, 2 type of bacons, oat meal, soup, and an omlette/pancake station where the station attendent will cook your pancake fresh or make your omlette the way you like. You can pick what go on your omlette from what choice is available at the station. I picked everything for my omlette. Besides all that, they have fresh food, bottomless pop and juices, also, freshly baked bread. My rule of thump though. I do not eat bread at a buffet, but I am sure they are tasty as they look yummy. And did I mentioned, it only cost 16 for breakfast, with tax and tip, that work out to be 20 dollar per person. I got the encore discount. I ate all the breakfast item, I could not found an imperfection on any item. Just bread and fruit are those that I did not eat.<br/ <br/ Will come back here for their Thai dinner theme. Hopefully it will be the same great experience. All the picture below are from breakfast. I can only post 25 of them :d. And yes, I did not throw up because of over eating for breakfast.<br/
Ben had taken a few days off to clear his leave at the end of summer. Since we are on “staycation”, we decided to indulge a little for breakfast. Ben and I had an early breakfast on a weekday at The Buffet in River Rock Casino. Prices had gone up a little since our last visit. The server asked us if we wanted to be near the window or the food, we opted for the window. It was a gloomy and rainy morning.
My husband brought me to this buffet. My lord there are so many food like sushi, dessert, king crab, mussel, sashimi, salad, pasta, fried rice, roasted meat, veggie, ice cream etc.. it taste not bad. Each person is 30 plus tax.
