Quiet and nice, a little out of the eyes of other touristsIt has a very pleasant owner and it seems to be family ran.

The Salty Egg Deep fried Crab, Baked Crab fried rice, and the $5 menu options for each meal, plus Congee whether plain or beef or Crab Congee, are among the best in Richmond!
I love their "Da Lang" menu with all dishes $5 each. If you order 4 dishes or more, they even give you a complimentary Giant bowl of plain congee. Even though the size of each dish is like a half order of a normal Chinese restaurant, I love it because I can try more dishes and all dishes are tasty. Their egg tarts are great as well.
Wow, was this good. I was there twice and ordered exclusively from the late night menu, even though one of the meals was at 6 p.m. Five dollars a dish. Lots to choose from. Delicious.Other tables ordered live seafood. Dungeness crab was $12.99 a pound, and it looked good, but we just did not have enough appetite for all the food already on the table.Maybe I have certain prejudices, but I imagine the approach to service is more common in China than in Vancouver. Not quite rude, just not overly concerned about what diners want. Also, telling the difference between certain dishes without communicating in Chinese is quite difficult. The menus have English translations, but several different dishes may all have the same name in English.Order absolutely anything on the menu. It was all good.
