I came here for a quick dinner and had three tacos. They build them fresh and have a lot of choices. Corn or flour tortillas and lots ingredients to put in as well. Price was reasonable and place is clean. I will come back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Taco Del Mar Ironwood:
Nothing particularly special about the food, but it was tasty. The place is nice and bright and we liked the surfer pics and such. Prices were reasonable. Might have given it a 4 except the service was really lackluster. We were new to this chain and could have used a little more enthusiasm and explanation of the choices. View all feedback.
I used to visit the TDM at Ironwood in Richmond regularly since it opened a few years ago, but I have stopped going there in the past few months. Two of the female staff members are friendly, but the male staff member is not. The tables and garbage box/tray are often dirty, and it seems like cleaning is not a priority. The container for empty cans and bottles is usually overflowing, and they frequently run out of items like shredded beef and chicken. The bulk soft drink machine has been out of order for months, and one or both of the washrooms are often unavailable. Despite these issues, the food is fine, and they usually remember my order. I have started going to the TDM in north Richmond instead, where I have not encountered any of the problems I mentioned at the Ironwood location.
I went to this restaurant for a quick dinner and ordered three tacos. They were prepared fresh and there were plenty of options to choose from. You could pick between corn or flour tortillas and there were a variety of ingredients to fill them with. The prices were reasonable and the restaurant was clean. I will definitely be returning.
The food wasn't anything extraordinary, but it was delicious. The restaurant has a pleasant and bright atmosphere, decorated with surfer pictures which we enjoyed. The prices were fair. We would have given it a 4-star rating if it weren't for the lackluster service. As newcomers to this chain, we would have appreciated more enthusiasm and explanation of the menu options.
This location still offers the two entree with sides and drinks for 19.99 on the weekends. Great value and very good food.
Mexican food is Mexican food even if prepared by non-Mexicans. It is what it is. If that is what you want, you will not be disappointed with this TDM. The burittos are huge and made on an assembly line, but you can make ingredient choices like at a Subway restaurant. Prices are affordable and you will be full at the end. The salsa chips are unremarkable.
