What User doesn't like about Memory Corner Taiwanese Cuisine:
Having not experienced Taiwanese food for a while we decided to visit Memory Corner. The appearance of the restaurant was very inviting and the serve staff very courteous and prompt. Much to our dismay however was that we discovered that the vast amount of the menu items contained lamb (which of us are allergic to). The Memory Corner would be a fantastic find for those patrons that enjoy lamb. View all feedback.
Chance on this outlet that offered authentic Taiwanese cuisine. We ordered lamb hot pot, crispy chicken and tomato & beef noodle.Dishes delivered piping hot.Lamb was tender & soft, soup good likewise the beef noodles. With the chilly sauce, the meat tasted delicious.Crispy fried chicken pieces were moderately spiced and tasted very good with the steamed rice.Chinese tea provided free.Staff friendly and service good.Dishes reasonably priced and that accounts for the large number of student patrons.Outlet accept only cash.
Before we went to next restaurant for dinner, we had one dish in this restaurant, braised pork on rice, it was so yummy and reasonably priced
We came to this restaurant for dinner tonight! I have always wanted to try this place after hearing that they won the award for the best meat sauce on rice in Vancouver. However, today we decided to both craving noodles instead of the famous meat sauce on rice. My boyfriend ordered the meat sauce on noodles and was very satisfied with it (he has high standards for Taiwanese meat sauce). I opted for the wonton noodle soup. I was pleased that they were willing to change the regular noodles to hair-thin noodles when I asked, as I have a sensitive stomach and find hair-thin noodles easier to digest. This is something some Taiwanese food places won't do without extra charges, so I appreciated it. We also ordered the Taiwanese chicken nuggets, which we both thought was very good. The outer crispy skin was not too thick, and the meat inside was juicy. The seasoning was perfect, not too salty. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a picture of our food because we were too hungry! We will definitely be coming back to try other dishes.
I had the best Taiwanese meal at Memory Corner for dinner. The sauce on my 3-Cup Chicken was amazing. They paid attention to every detail, even the plain rice and vegetable side dish were perfect. The Litchie Green Tea was not too sweet and very tasty. My friends all enjoyed their food and the prices were reasonable. I look forward to coming back after our weekly badminton game. Next time, I want to try their lamb dishes and one of their signature 'potted' drinks.
The sweet is delicious, and all the tofu and interior decor is very reminiscent of the old times. Especially recommend their taro and tofu, and 3 chewy balls.
