I was told that Happy Day Cafe used tobe operated in other location and it has been up running for many years. Today, I went there with friends for lunch and it's packed. The lunch sets are very bargain, the price range is between CAD $11 to $19 including a main dish a drink.
This restaurant deserves nothing short of five stars. The food was delicious their sweet and sour pork was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside; their soup was flavorful; their yang chow fried rice was packed with shrimp; their large iced milk tea is not too sweet but well made. The service was attentive. The food also came quickly, within 10 minutes of ordering. Thank you to the great team at Happy Day for making the dining experience so great.
Today my in-laws purchased the Chinese Pineapple Bun and absolutely loved it.
The staff member then gestured towards a table without clearly indicating where she wanted us to sit, so we chose a random table meant for 10 people, even though there were only three of us. The menu, with its various combinations and options, was quite confusing for us since it was multilingual. We ordered beef congee, steamed rice roll with dried scallops and satay beef vermicelli, and an egg sandwich. All of the dishes were authentic Cantonese cuisine and delicious. Each combo meal came with a free drink, and the prices were very reasonable considering the generous portions. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars, but I had to deduct one star due to the rude behavior of the staff.
