Tiny dessert/coffee place across from Lansdowne. Tried the burnt basque cheesecake was okay. The earl grey lavender drink was a bit weak. The coconut matcha was quite flavorful. View all feedback.
What Jennie C doesn't like about Fresh Press Coffee:
Just had coffee at this place looked up reviews and thought to try it since we didnt know Richmond as well. I recently visited this coffee shop after reading some reviews, eager to try something new since I'm not familiar with Richmond. I ordered two Americano coffees, but they arrived lukewarm. After a few sips, I had to ask them to heat them up, and unfortunately, the taste was very disappointing—bitter and stale! The prices were steep as well. The pictures on their website are misleading; the place is small and cramped, and the seating becomes uncomfortable after a short time. I would strongly advise against visiting this café. It's hard to understand how they could mess up such a simple coffee order.
This is a fantastic place for coffee! The service is both amazing and friendly, and the coffee is outstanding—certainly some of the best my wife and I have had in Vancouver. The gentleman who served us truly knows his craft. I highly recommend visiting this spot!
This has officially become my favorite coffee shop in Canada! The service was excellent, and the espresso was outstanding, served with tonic water by default, which was a nice touch. The pour-over coffee was a real treat as well—a smooth, fruity Ethiopian blend presented in a fun beaker that allowed me to pour it into my cup. I managed to get about two cups from it, making it a great value. They also offered two other blends for the pour-over. The music selection was wonderfully calming, creating the ideal atmosphere for a relaxing Saturday getaway from the hustle and bustle. As for parking, it’s shared with other businesses, but I had no trouble finding a spot.
What a hidden treasure! The coffee here is fantastic, made by someone who clearly loves his craft. The espresso is vibrant and flavorful, and I can only imagine how well it pairs with milk. The pour-over was equally delightful! The atmosphere is charming, and the music transports me to France. If you like brewing excellent coffee at home, there’s also a wide variety of specialty beans available.
What a charming little café! The service was quick and exceptional. I ordered a decaf soy latte and a gluten-free chocolate hazelnut cake, which turned out to be delightfully light, rich in chocolate flavor, and not overly sweet. It was a lovely treat! I’m definitely interested in returning to try one of their other drinks from the menu. Although the decaf coffee wasn’t my favorite, I can’t really comment on their regular coffee. The presentation was adorable too!
