What Vee Wanzo doesn't like about Deer Garden Signatures:
I really enjoy every other Deer Garden I've been to, but this one was particularly bad. Not only was it VERY expensive but the value was poor, which is a very important factor for me.Sure, the portion was large but it was so bland it was hard to eat. I wanted similar to dan dan noodles like I do at other Deer Gardens. But this was just noodles in some (sweet) peanut soup. No other flavour. Chilli was extremely minima... View all feedback.
Great service, good soup, since this place is always packed, we call for pickup orders and usually orders are ready in 15 minutes. Parking is a nightmare in this plaza.
Food is really good but a tad pricey for noodles. Had the original fish soup base which was delicious.
Waiting time at peak lunch hours (We walked in at 12:30pm on BC Day) was about 10 to 15 minutes, which isn’t bad. Friendly customer service. 10/10 cleanliness. Comfortable seating for a small size HK style cafe. Good variety. Food taste good. Our food arrived in about 7 mins. I love the fact that you can customise your dish by choosing from 10 different sauces and you could pick between spaghetti or rice. Competitive prices. IMO better deal than the Hong Kong style Chinese food Aberdeen Centre food court.
We came here for happy hour, no I am not kidding... the only thing is you do have to ask for menu, and the times of availability for these specials are between 3pm to 6pm. It is a great place to come and have a bite to eat for those HK cafe favourites which they have a few. I always knew Deer Garden as a place that just served us the pick and build your own noodle bowl and I never understood as to why it was deemed in the category of HK cafe till my mom went and urged us to check it out as they had some variety that I was not aware of. So on the day of us getting there we had a bowl of their curry pork chop rice (you can get this either deep fried, or pan fried) a bowl of mala based soup with noodles, a HK french toast with peanut butter in the centre, and a plate of marinated beef stomach. I kid you not by saying the beef stomach was actually the star out of all the dishes, and they all hit our stomach just right. Of course it wouldn't be right if we didn't have an HK lemon ice tea, and they made it not bad, not overly sweet, and enough lemon flavour. Will have to come back, but a good layout with good seating, and the food isn't bad either.

I wanted similar to dan dan noodles like I do at other Deer Gardens. But this was just noodles in some (sweet) peanut soup. No other flavour. Chilli was extremely minimal, and unfortunately either the company has removed the option for minced pork/beef or this location lacks it. Anyway, it was a pretty bad bowl of... noodles. If you can find them. And they were all falling apart anyway. No one else in my group really liked their choices either. However, the fish skin was really good.
