My last visit to this restaurant was almost 18 years ago when they were still in North Vancouver. Moving to Richmond in about 2 years time, I finally found time to try the restaurant again. Located at the same premise of a fast food restaurant near Pubic Market, I felt a bit disappointed as the food quality is just average. If still in North Vancouver, due to less competition, may be so-so. But in Richmond where there are hundreds of keen competitors, I can only managed to give them this rating. Said to be famous in Hakka food, several dishes said to be famous were so-so though price is the only competitive edge.
The C Wok offers a very extensive menu from French fries to Thai curries and Japanese sushi. I preferred the traditional Chinese offerings ordering the house special lo mein (noodles in soup) for my lunch.
I came across their set menu while looking for a place to eat in Richmond. I saved it and was finally able to visit the restaurant.
I tried the chicken dish, roti, and congee at this restaurant. The chicken dish was decent, but it could have been a little less dry.
What a little hidden treasure! The dishes we sampled today were absolutely delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the deep fried intestines were.
