This restaurant that is way more sotiphicate than the typical Chiness restaurant in both food and asmostphere. Their food seems heathier and thier Boba tea is having perfect amount of sweetness if you care about calories intake. People and staff is nice and engeretic in an awesome weather of Santa
I really like this place and have been going there for years. As much as I enjoy Chinese cuisine, I am not a fan of dark meat chicken. Several years ago a server suggested that I subsitute pork for the dark meat chicken in the Kung Pao chicken. It was delicious and I 've ordered that way since. Today, the server said she didn 't have a prompt for pork on Kung Pao chicken on her hand held device. Instead she had white meat chicken, shrimp, beef etc. I suggested she just tell the kitchen about the request, since they 'd done it some many times before. Instead a woman whom I assume was the manager (or owner) came to me and told me told me they would not make the change, and in fact they make their dishes authentic and the version I wanted wasn 't authentic. She acknowledged they 'd made the dish that way in the past but wouldn 't do it anymore. She then picked up the menu and told me she would help me pick out something else. I was surprised at first and felt like I was being treated like a child. then got angry and decided to walk away. I am not sure if it was computer issue or if I somehow got on the bad side of the manager. Definitely felt I was chastised for ordering something they actually recommended to me. Doubtful that I will go back.
You can't go wrong here between the dumplings and the prawns. This place is excellent. And the service was fabulous. Highly recommended.
Ok let me explain. LOL The place was clearly packed when we arrived on a Sunday lunch hour. We were hoping for some good dimsum…which they lacked. Some of the hot appetizers did not meet expectations. I thought it was a fried egg roll from Panda. Huge, but lackluster. The Porkchop and Rice was promised to be panko-free by wait staff but it was dry as a bone panko-fried. A deconstructed minced beef with salted veggies adorned the jasmine rice but all it tasted like was the ocean. The soup…we ordered Wonton soup, also ocean. Lamb Stir-fry… was the saving grace apart from it tasting like Beef stir-fry…but still ocean! Are we just so used to the less salty and much better restaurants in Dallas?
