What Pierre Spyder TV Poliquin Spyder Accessories doesn't like about Drag's Roman Lounge:
Service was cordial, decor was in need of some loving, food was hot and plenty, but apart from sauces all are frozen pasta bought in bulk, I was told pizza was great but we had spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls, had to ask if it was manirana sauce because did not see much meat. I've been here 4 times because locals love this place. Every dish I've tried has been mediocre. The staff has always been unfriendly and lees than helpful. If you're a local, the service seems better. I've waited 20-30 minutes at a table just to place my order. Atmosphere is old and a bit drab, 70's ish.
Nostalgia!! This place reminds me of the pizza joint in my rural home town. Retro decor, amazing aroma, and thin crust pizza sliced in squares. I was pleasantly surprised by the GF crust option perfect blend of chewy and crispy. The bar in back has a fun vibe. I highly recommend, especially if you're craving a little nostalgia with your pizza.
Excellent food! They have another restaurant in Eau Claire but must have different chefs because this is the real deal
We love the food is why we keep going there. We always is in the lounge. Tonight for the second time at our date nights. Peggy the bar tender was vey rude. She would slam our drinks in front of us. Never acknowledge we were even there. We will try one more time and if it happens again will never go back. FYI there were only 4 other couples in the bar when we were there. So she would not have to busy. Great food bad service.
Drag's was definitely busy when we stopped by. Lots of folks were picking up their take-out pizza orders. Drag's has an old-school pizza/bar vibe. It reminded me slightly of the original Savoy's in St. Paul. It has the smell of a place that's been baking pizzas for a long time. Service was a little slow when we arrived, but the server was friendly. We ordered a thin crust pepperoni and onion. It was decent... not my favorite, but decent. The sauce was pretty thin, the crust very crackery. There were portions, especially near the edge, where there weren't a lot of toppings (less cheese and no pepperoni). We liked it well enough, but if we were to go back I might try their thicker Sicilian style crust with a bit more sauce.
