After a long day of driving and exploring the coast this little seaside bar is truly a special place to end the day. A beer, scallops, prawns and octopus made in the local manner at sunset in a beautiful town like Rinlo is perfect. Wonderful friendly service, and brilliantly prepared food. 5 stars.

My sister and I had the pulpo, soft shell crab pate, and potatoes aioli and they were all very tasty!

Having a cycle along the coast- this is a great place to stop for refreshment. Pity it was just a snack but would love to return for a meal n some drinks. Toilets pristine, staff friendly and welcoming- food was fresh and tasty- reasonably priced.

After an hour exploring Rinlo, we stopped at Bar Portillo for lunch. Alas, the proprietor told us, the cook was out on an errand, and he did not know when she would return. The outside tables on this sunny late-February day beckoned, so we decided to risk it and ordered beers, Estrella Galicia, my favorite. Basking in the sun, we nursed our beer and nibbled on potato chips for 20 minutes, when we noticed the cook's arrival. After a quick review of the menu, we ordered Pulpo a la Gallega, which was served in the traditional way and was as good as I've ever had. Even my wife, who does not share my enthusiasm for the dish, loved it. It was a perfect lunch, on a perfect stop, on a perfect road trip.
