While some patrons have experienced long waits and a perception of overpriced portions, many rave about the friendly service, extensive menu, and reasonable prices. The café is particularly praised for its quality coffee and delightful baked goods, with moist muffins standing out. Although some menu items may appear to be repackaged snacks, overall, the establishment offers a cozy spot for a quick bite or a relaxing coffee break amidst the hustle and bustle of shopping.
I used to be a regular customer with my daughter but won't be returning after our last visit. Extremely over priced for the portion size. I'll be going else where in future.
Every single time we go to this coffee shop the staff go to great pains to shout ‘30 minute wait on food’. Wouldn’t mind but you get told by at least 3 different people on repeat. Even when there is hardly nobody in there! Advice: stick a sign up and stop going on and on about it! It makes you feel very unwelcome and the staff come across as very reluctant to do their job.
We have visited this restaurant several times since having our little one, whether as a couple, with friends, or after swimming lessons with other parents and their children. The menu offers a good selection of food at typical prices, and we have always received great service. The restaurant is easily accessible with lifts and changing facilities, and the staff are happy to assist with young children. Parking for parents and children is ample and convenient. The food is consistently good, although not exceptional, with options like toasties and burgers with chips. The coffee is enjoyable and the cakes, particularly the muffins, are moist and flavorful.
I stopped by for a budget-friendly way to kill some time while my car was being cleaned. I opted for the cheapest hot drink on the menu, a £1.50 pot of tea, but was disappointed to find only enough milk in the tiniest jug for one cup. I also purchased a tiny slice of carrot cake for £2.95, a scone for £1.95, a caramel bar for 90p (which appeared to come from a pack of 5 for about £1), and a marshmallow for 95p (also seemingly from a multi-pack). When my friend and her two kids arrived, she paid £8.95 for two plates of cold sausage and chips, a small bottle of water, and a cappuccino. This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant, as they sell individual items that appear to be taken from multi-packs. A young girl in line ahead of me mentioned that she was on her break and had to rush because the service was so slow. This restaurant has the slowest service and most overpriced items I have ever experienced, even worse than motorway cafes.
Ordered poached egg on toast and was told that there was a 20 min wait. Numerous people arrived after me and were served. After 45 mins I asked where my lunch was and was told that poached eggs take a long time to cook. Immediately my lunch arrived they had obviously forgotten about me. Not worth waiting for.
