China Village Takeaway Diner

I had a great experience with the takeaway service at this restaurant. The food I ordered was delicious. However, I found it a bit cheeky that they charged 10p for the smallest unprinted bag that couldn't be canceled. It was a bit funny, to be honest.

I ordered takeaway delivery and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The duck was burnt, the tub of spring onions and cucumber was off, the crispy beef was soggy, the chips were cold and reheated, the rice was hard and appeared to be brown and refried, and the noodles were cold and tasteless. I complained and only received a £20 refund after three phone calls, even though my bill was £48. The only thing that was somewhat edible was the starter tray. I have had good food from this restaurant before, but I will never use them again after this experience.

I had to wait 2 hours for my delivery even though they said it would be 1 hour and 20 minutes. It's only Monday, so I can only imagine how long it would take on a weekend.

Popped in on the way home from work, ordered a special fried rice....well it was special alright..!! Ordered a carton of curry sauce with chips. The fried rice was without any prawns, just a dollop of sweet and sour sauce, with a sheet of chicken and pork, it consisted of mostly brown rice with one or two peas. It was completely tasteless, and as for the curry sauce.... what I get, another carton of brown rice, got the order wrong. As for the chips, well got to be yesterday’s,they were terrible...!!! Absolute ****...!! £12.00 for a load of S t...!! Won’t go there again...!!

We placed a telephone order for sweet and sour chicken balls, beef in black bean sauce, egg fried rice, prawn crackers and chips. The food was ready for collection within about 25 minutes. The portion sizes were great, the food was very tasty and cooked with fresh ingredients. This was our first visit, but certainly won't be the last. Great value for money.
