Great drinks at affordable prices, a billiard table, and touchscreen trivia make for a fun atmosphere. The bartender, Carli, adds to the charm. It's the perfect little bar! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about River Street Tap:
The bartender was kinda rude. When I ordered a drink she was all snotty like I'm gonna need your ID and then she slammed it on the table. Like I know I look young don't have to be so rude. View all feedback.
Always loved going here, since I was young. From the atmosphere to the drinks, and food! They were always fab! Great job!
Service and cleanliness rated at 4 stars, but the food deserves only 2 stars. We ordered two chicken wraps, but both were quite disappointing. I've never had a wrap that weighed less than half a pound, and these were definitely on the stingy side. To make matters worse, they were served cold, as if they had just come out of the refrigerator. The chicken was breaded and fried, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu, so I wouldn’t have ordered it if I had known. While the wraps had some good flavor, they really need significant improvement.
I would return for the salad bar, but not for the ribs. The ribs were tough and difficult to eat—definitely not the "fall off the bone" kind. The sauce was decent, but it didn’t compensate for the tough meat. On the plus side, meals include a visit to a well-stocked salad bar featuring excellent blue cheese dressing. I might be tempted to try a different dish just to enjoy another trip to the salad bar! I appreciated my waitress and the service overall. The bar also made a good Old Fashioned.
We ordered French onion soup and cheese curds as starters, while I went for the steak tenderloins with gorgonzola cream sauce, and my dining companions opted for the pork chop. The cheese curds were decent—not greasy at all—but they lacked distinct flavor. Unfortunately, my steak was a bit chewy and under-seasoned, despite the sauce being flavorful and well-balanced. The bites of pork chop I tried were good, but not exceptional, and overall, the meal fell short of my expectations, especially given the price. On a brighter note, I have to mention that the French onion soup was fantastic, and I would definitely return for it—and perhaps for a drink, too. The old fashioned was quite nice, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back if I'm ever in town again.
Food was fenomenal, highly recommend the buffalo wings. This place is also 113 years old which is cool
