Northwestern - RHINELANDER

Enjoy our first visit to the Northwestern Hotel Lounge Justin our bartender, a better looking version of Jay Leno was friendly, friendly and patient with us at our first visit. He would like to explain the menu, etc. he made it a fun visit and the Hemlock Sandwiches were delicious. I also tried the wild rice soup, it was great. This place has a serious history (I would like to know more) which is due to the early growth of Rheinlander, as it lies directly opposite the railway station (non-operating), as the tracks were removed about 30 years ago. If you are looking for new and fashionable, this is not the place for you but if you want to go where the locals go, eat like the locals, and enjoy some of the historical ambience, then the northwest when for you. Even if you find out the origin of the name for the Hemlock sandwich, let me know I'm curious. Enjoy

The food is great. You should try the Mexican chili. It really is the bomb. If a sandwich is what you crave, then try the absolutely delicious Hemlock....happy eats and drinks!

Outstanding Old Fashioned cocktails at very good prices. Atmosphere will take you back (carpeting on the walls! . What's old is new again. A great place to have a drink before dinner out.

Great people, great food, excellent drinks! Bacon in a ****...what? I'd have givin 5 stars if it was faster, but its because they are hustling. It's busy and rightfully so, it is worth the wait! Try to sit somewhere you can watch and take it all in. Ahh, I'm changing it back to 5 stars.
