we ordered chicken and lamb dishes. it was in the average, especially rice. the rice was not cooked well, and when you eat it, it feels like he stuck in the throat. the workers were arrogant and they were not ready to eat on some of our asking. during our summer trip on the island we were in many restaurants on the island, and a thing that we liked about Icelandic restaurant is their gas friendship. but bombay bazar... Uppáhalds indverski staðurinn í Reykjavík. Góður matur á sanngjörnu verði.
Frábær matur, geggjuð stemming og mjög góð þjónusta. Mæli með tikka masala og vel sterkum fyrir þá sem þora.
We needed a reservation for a Friday night. that is a perfect Indian restaurant with a modern twist. we loved it! park right in front (this is away from the city center, that was a plus for us. the value for the money they pay is excellent in comparison to island trips. the owner serves the orders with the other employees and we have evaluated and supported small entrepreneurs. the customer service was really nice, attentive and fast (also for a busy Friday night). the first time in reykjavik and we will definitely visit this place before our departure. the restaurant is on a busy road, so it is really easy to find. ps: make sure they order the veggie samosas, excellent choice to begin their dinner. image: brinjal and nine diamonds with wobbles naan extras; .
Technical one 4.5 had only a delicious Indian dinner in bombay bazaar. excellent food and the prices are typical of ice. So they can have a burger for the 10th time or have a great curry menu for just a little more. the host (and probably owner) is a friendly man and keeps very well with all in the restaurant.
The food was very average. Among the chicken dishes, we ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, creamy chicken, and chicken 65. The chicken in all these dishes were quite dry. The service was quite bad and it felt they were being quite rude. In all the restaurants that we went to in Iceland, we felt that people were often very friendly and kind to us, except in this restaurant. The way they served the food was as if they held a grudge. On top of that they were not willing to check about the questions we had about the food. Also, the rice was extremely bad that all 10 Indians in our group felt uncomfortable with the quality of the rice. The decor of the restaurant was decent (ie why the 2 stars), but otherwise I would avoid it in the future.
