Very nice panoramic view of the city, the food was delicious. Staff did good work. We had seafood soup, lamb and dessert. It was a nice gesture to have milk-free options. And now let me talk about dessert because it was the best dessert I had in my whole life. It was a delicious Skyr cake with some fruit (Raspberry, strawberries? And blueberries), some fruit sauce sprayed over the plate and some slightly picked cream... View all feedback.
(From a visit to June 2016) After I made a lovely quiet, peaceful and sunny walk through Tjörnin (Reykjavík answer to Stanley Park Seawall), I followed the paths across the street and into the beautiful University of Island terrain, dotted with many kinds of happy birds, visited one of the buildings I could possibly study and almost randomly interrupted what I gathered to be a Mother's Day parade. After passing through my future university, I went back to Islands Norræna Húsið (Northern House), where a bistro lies, and was pleasantly surprised to see a bounty of incredibly sounding vegan options on the menu. Of course I decided to eat there, and I didn't make an excellent decision. From the beginning, the staff were fantastically helpful. They patiently translated the daily offers into English for me, quickly replaced the butter of bread with oil, herbs and salt, brought me the most beautiful main course and even told me how to say the phrase I will summarize my experience there: Það var dásam. (That was wonderful)
We had a fabulous meal in Aalto Bistro it was peaceful and quiet with magnificent views. The food was also amazing and a bargain compared to other meals in Iceland. Service was also great!

And now let me talk about dessert because it was the best dessert I had in my whole life. It was a delicious Skyr cake with some fruit (Raspberry, strawberries? Great restaurant from the tourist radar. Beautiful atmosphere and great menu, even by our group had limited choice. I would like to return to try the regular menu.
Interesting food, with a ton of local ingredients. Standout dish of the night was a salad of lightly cured duck breast, lettuce, mild Turkish goat cheese, and a pomegranate-cumin dressing. Great, funny, and friendly service, too! And the desserts? Fantastic.
