beautiful place near the geysirs with good (and expensive) eating. different dishes, also options for vegetarians. easier access, much space and not so overfilled by 2 clock. They also make chocolate. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mika:
very friendly service, warm setting and unexpected gourmet menu. refreshing to see such a great selection of salads. a little disappointing that the complete menu is not offered in December (but there is a thirteen curs Christmas menu. small portioning but and expensive for what it expects to be around 20 30€ only for a main number. the lambs are moist and tasteful. the gravitational and smoky salmon was also tasty,... They have vegan options. You can make your own pizza. They're using violife cheese
Nice restaurant, chic atmosphere. They sell chocolate which is made by their own (not vegan . The menu says to ask the waiter about the vegan dishes (no price is marked . So we ordered and the dish was a vegetable risotto. Taste was good, nothing to moan. Price was 4295ISK (29€ , think its a little pricey, but seems to be ok for icelandic standard and a touristic area.
From previous pictures it 's obviously the same bland and boring risotto with vegetables that they have served as vegan meal of the day for at least a year. However, in an area with very limited options, it 's nice that they try.
Initially wanted to go to the tomato-farm nearby, but it was completely full. Since there weren’t many options around, I ended up here. I went for the vegan dish of the day. The rice was slightly overcooked but all in all, the dish was fulfilling. Unfortunately, not that many vegan options, but I didn’t expect it either.
They have a vegan dish which you have to ask the waiter. It was a veggie risotto with a fruity ginger sauce. It was wonderful! They also have a vegan soup.
