Lovely brunch. Everything is farm fresh and delicious. Our favorites were the french toast, eggs, hash browns, cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies. Found something different everytime we went up to the buffet. Stephen our server was amazing too. Overall had a ball. Kids loved everything especially the chicken. We will definitely be back.
My first time to found Farmers! Can't compare with others! First our waiter was perfect! The family I used to brunch gave us the layout. The help served great offer to place my selection on my plate! Now the brunch dinner was delicious! Stir eggs excellent! Cheesy grits so delicious. Hash Browns too. I chose a donut without icing that was like a sponge cake! Couldn't ask for something better and eat more than mentioned! Do you have near Columbia, MD?
Having had previously, what can only be described as an “off-night” at the Founding Farmers, we came back again on a girls night out and it was everything we hoped for. The service was excellent and the food was on point. We’re glad that the Founding Farmers took our previous complaint seriously and asked for an opportunity to make good. And boy you did!! Our faith is fully restored!! Thanks again for making this a fantastic night out and we will definitely come back again! Special thanks also to Gina Carroll for taking the time and listening! You’re marvellous!!
Founding Farmers is always such a treat! It was jammed on a Saturday night, and it makes sense because the food is so good!
A great Sunday brunch for Mother's Day. We all left happy and full!
A charming restaurant with great outdoor seating, but issues with the buffet-style brunch and lack of COVID precautions left some diners unimpressed. Mixed reviews for food at different times of day, with comments on limited vegan options and slow service, but moments of excellence in dishes like chicken and waffles. Overall, a decent experience with potential for improvement and return visits for specific items on the regular menu. Despite some inconsistencies, the fresh ingredients and friendly service at Founding Farmers left customers feeling satisfied, eager to return for more.

The waitress was really nice but had a hard time understanding some of the questions or requests for drinks so the bartender had to come over directly. It wasn’t that big of a deal but helpful if the waiter has an understanding and can communicate these things themselves. Additionally, she didn’t inform of us a portion size for one of the dishes so it was replaced by the manager. Truly appreciate the manager rectifying the situation with ease since we were celebrating my birthday.
The restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday evening, and the service was lacking even though there weren't many customers. The music was too loud, but the food was decent.
530 on a Saturday night. Awesome looking outside patio and bar. TVs was on as if it was open, but completely empty, not even a bartender. We went inside. Hostess was very nice and gracious. Restaurant looked really nice but then we noticed it was almost completely empty. We have been to other Matchbox locations, at the Mosaic and in DC. Seeing this place mostly empty was completely unexpected. We had our pick of the tables and took one by the window. Everything just seemed off. The speaker over our table was blaring music at us. The light at our table was burn out. The menu was boring. And a bit overpriced. Never got water. Our server seem uninterested, and that I could understand. We ordered cocktails and an app – but had already decided we would be leaving. Cocktails and app were just uninteresting.
Arrived at 8:20 on a Tuesday evening and sat in bar area. Pretty empty and close to closing but other folks did arrive after us. Seated right away but almost 10 minutes before a waiter showed up. Did not seemed that happy to serve us. Once ordered food came promptly. Chicken pesto pizza which was a bit dry and not very flavorful. Maybe return for a second try and will come earlier and try an entree. Have enjoyed the Matchbox at One Loudoun in the past so maybe just go there.
Our first time at the restaurant taking advantage of the restaurant week, the food was delicious. Apple and pear salad, Salmon with Asparagus and the brownie and cheesecake were amazing. The place is quiet and the service was excellent ! Our server PAUL was awesome and we definitely will come back soon! Live music in the patio was a plus !

Wow wow wow , is all I can say . We stopped here after searching for a nice place to get brunch and let me tell you this will be our new favorite place! The food , drinks service were incredible. So glad to have found a place with this type of quality great atmosphere. If you haven’t tried this place yet I highly recommend!
This was my first time with Founding Farmers and I’m so glad I went! I went for dinner on a Wednesday night. Jon B was our server and he was such a joy, he was very accommodating and gave great recommendations. His personality was inviting and heattentive and knowledgeable in the menu and recommendations. I had the farmer’s platter and it was huge, it was enough for twopeople. I was torn between the Mac&cheese or potatoes and Jon recommended the Mac and cheese (which was phenomenal) I evenordered more on the side to take home. I’ll definitely be returning to this location for brunch! Thank you to the restaurantand Jon B for making my experience a great one.
Always enjoy this establishment when I'm in town visiting. Food and service always great. Definitely worth the wait because you will wait sometimes up to an hour if you don't have reservations. They take pride in making alot of food and condiments fromscratch. Definitely suggest anyone who has not been here to try it and thank me later. Can't wait to revisit.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Reston (our favorite FF location and what a treat! Everyone agreed this was quite possibly the best Thanksgiving meal we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Three course fixed price menu with a breadboard to start. Everythingfrom appetizer to dessert was delicious and tasted homemade and the entree portion was bountiful! The attached photo was fromleftovers, but my actual Thanksgiving plate looked about the same (although more turkey . Plus, we had great service (thanksMarcus! and we were not rushed at all. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Great job Reston Founding Farmers team. Thank you fora special day.
We had a team outing here , to start with the staff was really good and polite. Overall the ambience atmosphere everything is really good. They have ample amount of seating can get crowded on the weekends and especially Fridays. The food was definitelynot the best southern fried chicken was really bad super dry not worth at all. Overall food was mediocre considering the pricepoint. May be some other dishes might be good but what we had was just average.

As of June 2023, this place is terrible for vegans. Vegetarians might have a good time, though, if they want to pay over $20 for impossible meat and dairy cheese. Most of the vegetarian options are not even modifiable to vegan.
Been a few times. Have had a couple options. Food was good.
Limited vegan options at Founding Farmers. Veggie loaf entree, substitute rice for the mashed potatoes to make it vegan. It was quite tasty but the fact that they delivered the check in a leather case I had to touch was unpleasant.

I came here for brunch today and had a splendid time! The atmosphere is super cute. The food was delicious and the drinks were also really good! The beignets were made fresh and were absolutely delicious! We chose to do the a la carte menu because buffet style isnt really our thing. I had the 2 egg farmers breakfast with French toast. One piece was slightly burnt the other was a tad underdone but it tasted fine once I covered it in their maple syrup. The syrup alone was delicious and full of fresh vanilla beans! I do recommend this place for breakfast/brunch but it was on the more expensive side once you add in cocktails it was about $50-$60 a person. I do look forward to coming back! Founding Farmers in Reston is a must-visit! The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. The meatloaf with string beans, mashed potatoes, and rich mushroom gravy was next-level and easily one of the best meatloaves I’ve ever had. The scallops with risotto were also a great pick, perfectly cooked and full of depth. The ambience, the decor, and the service were all top-tier. I’ll definitely be coming back this month to try more dishes this place was all that! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
