Greeted by a lovely lady and two other staff. Very friendly and coffee came out almost instantly! We had some pastries as a pit stop between Harvey Norman and Bunnings homeware shopping (located in the same lot). Over all very positive experience. Lots of seating inside and out, with lots of Windows for afternoon sun. Coffee is decent, they didn't burn the soy milk :) View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Mills Cafe:
I'll keep it simple. Staff were not wearing gloves. They were not happy to be there. The owner is rude to his staff. My pie was microwaved, and if it was cooked correctly would have been nice. I won't return there View all feedback.
The salmon and egg toast was delicious. However, one critique I have is that the salmon could have used a bit more seasoning before being placed on the toasted bread. It seemed like they served it as is without any additional flavor. Adding a light seasoning of ground thyme could have made it perfect. The coffee was not the greatest.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, but I wish they provided menus for those who prefer them. The chips were a bit too salty, but the other dishes were fresh and tasty. The restaurant is in a great location and has a lovely atmosphere.
I'm not sure what happened to my previous review. Anyway, I think this restaurant is much better than what you might read on this page. I love the coffee, tea, cakes, fresh juices, and smoothies. I always find something I like for breakfast and lunch. Thank you.
I love the coffee and deserts at Mills café. I also love the fresh fruit juices and their version of a smoothie although it is oddly named as numbers.Chicken schnitzel and chips is my favourite dish but I also sometimes get pleasant surprises from the chef's specials menu but don't ask me about names as my memory is terrible. also they have large variety of tea herbs like my favourite: lemon grass that I order from time to time and love the option to have it served in a kettle that I keep drinking from till finished.I usually sit inside watching TV but occasionally I sit under the umbrellas outside for a refreshing change
As a Frequent goer to Mills Café, I don't believe the joint is being given what it deserves here. It is well known for its excellent coffee and the Barista Rob is well known in the area for his excellent coffee, making workers from all over the area keep coming for more. I have seen many workers' faces change but always same great food standard and good service. There are daily menu items, and the management always work to adjust to customer's taste. The bad reviews could have been influenced by a sour x-employee that I became aware they carried a smear campaign against the Café in recent times. My advise to anyone reading this is to check it out for yourself. It is all stars for me, Well done Mills Café!!!
