I had a great time at this restaurant. I really enjoyed the breakfast menu, but the coffee could use some improvement. The customer service was friendly and welcoming.
Great neighborhood cafe with a welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, comfortable seating, and spacious layout. The kitchen operates until 3pm.
Walked into The Elizabeth Cafe and sat down. After ordering coffees, we waited for about 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order. 2 waitresses were on and 1 cook. One of the waitresses was cutting tomatoes with her bare hands at the front bench and the cook was looking at his phone in the Kitchen. The other waitress was on coffee duties and cleaning tables. I had to ask to have our orders taken. Once our orders were taken, our food came out. The meat in the cheeseburger was under cooked and the spring rolls were bland. The Rocky Road Waffles were good. While eating, one of the waitresses was in the kitchen licking out the waffle mixture with her fingers! This cafe has potential but really needs to improve it's service and cleanliness. Not coming back here. What a shame. Used to be a local favourite.
This café has a charming atmosphere and a lovely courtyard. It is spacious and welcoming for families with strollers. The coffee is of good quality. The menu offers a variety of options, however, the food quality is lacking. The presentation is nice, but the taste is not up to par. Improving the ingredients, such as using high-quality bacon, adding a bit more tanginess to the chili jam, and investing in authentic Greek halloumi, could elevate the dishes. With these improvements, dishes like the "Boss' Breakfast" could be amazing. It is possible that with time and adjustments, this café may reach its full potential.
