This was my first time stopping at this truck stop. I usually go to Love’s or Pilot locations. At first, I was a bit concerned when I saw a sheriff inspecting an abandoned car, but after chatting with another trucker, I learned it’s a safe place to park. The parking lot could use a bit of cleaning up, though.
I’m currently displaced by the storm and urgently needed clean clothes. Since I’m not a trucker, I was rudely asked to leave the dryer with my clothes still wet. There wasn’t a single trucker around doing laundry. I’ll gladly take my business and dirty clothes to the St. Rose truck stop, where they welcomed us warmly and even offered discounts after hearing our situation.
