The vistas are spectacular and the service prompt and friendly. One of my favorite places during my Oberbolzano stay. Great deserts and ice-cream.

We were suggested by the wonderful barma... read more While staying at Hotel Bemelmans Post in Collalbo we wanted to organise a birthday celebration in a different location. We were suggested by the wonderful barman at Bemelmans Post to eat at Lichternstern. He organised it all for us and even organized a special birthday cake (cheesecake with raspberries). The staff was great, evening wonderful, and the only thing that was not 100% was the weather... we could not sit outside the whole evening as there was a high risk of rain. After having the pre dinner drink outside at a huge round table with wonderful view we moved inside to the very nice restaurant. Food and service was extraordinary. The 75 year old birthday girl had a wonderful experience. Thank You very much for this wonderful evening.

The owner unfortu... read more I recently visited Lichtenstern for the day from Bolzano. it is a lovely area. We were referred to this restaurant by the tourist info office. The owner unfortunately was quite rude to myself and friends. We were told we would have to wait which we did and his wife seated us and when he saw us sitting in a table he came out yelling at us for invading their home. He would not let us explain that his wife seated us and just kept yelling we were supposed to wait. It was past the time he gave us. That being said there are no other places to go, our waitress was wonderful and the food was good as well but I give them a 2 star for hospitality for his unfair treatment of us.
