Sf Kitchen - Reno
Sf Kitchen
Description
SF Kitchen in Reno garners praise for its friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere, particularly appealing to Vietnamese cuisine enthusiasts. While many rave about the generous lunch specials and delicious flavors—especially the Crispy Chicken and 5 Spice Beef Brisket—some diners report disappointing experiences with certain dishes like the pho and spring rolls, noting they lacked freshness and depth. The quaint dining area can become crowded, so planning a visit during off-peak hours is advised. Overall, SF Kitchen is worth a stop for its accommodating service and flavorful offerings, making it a local spot to consider.

The prices were reasonable, but the pho I ordered was among the worst I've ever tasted. Additionally, the spring rolls were mostly just noodles with hardly any vegetables and an overly sweet peanut sauce that lacked depth. The interior was acceptable, but it felt cramped, crowded, and noisy. I don’t intend to return.
Read great things about this place online. Most meals on the menu can be made with tofu as the protein. We went off-book and asked for vegetables only on the Kung Pao and they happily obliged—and added a ton of delicious veggies. Sooo good!!
This restaurant offers great lunch specials starting at just $12. I particularly enjoy their Crispy Chicken and 5 Spice Beef Brisket with Radish Hot Pot. They also have a new Beef Tendon 5 Spice Hot Pot on the menu. The place is fairly clean for an Asian restaurant. It has a small dining area, so it's best to arrive early or after 1:30 PM for lunch. You'll find it at the northwest corner of Mill and Kietzke.
