We stop there for dinner on Aug 14. I had the gyros dinner, the platter was ok, the meat with scarce and overcooked, very dry. Big platter, small meat. See picture. A friend had salmon diner, he didn't find anything special about it, just a common sauce and the other friend had the Chicken Souvlaki. He said was chicken was dry. We split an appetiser, fried calamary rings, ohh...lucky I didn't make that a diner plater... View all feedback.
What old mountie doesn't like about Karras Way:
Although if purports to be a Greek restaurant and has a gyros on its menu, it is more of a small-town menu, designed to cater to the local population. Service was good and food was acceptable. Although the place was not busy, while being clean, the men's washroom hand drier was out of order and paper towel dispenser was empty. View all feedback.
This restaurant has it all; very nice atmosphere, wonderful service, and absolutely fantastic food! Our last evening out was total disappointment in a highly reviewed restaurant in Ottawa. We now think the reviews were written by family and friends because it in no way lived up to the hype. It was LOUD, cramped, and the food was absolute mush. This gem, on the other hand, carried no hype, and yet was such a pleasant experience. My wife's souvlaki was perfectly seared and yet so tender and juicy inside. My chicken and ribs were just so good I still have a smile on my face from them back at home. The roasted potatoes in both of our dishes were just delicious! I would be happy with a whole platter of nothing but them! My wife and I have just found our new favorite restaurant. So thankful for such a nice evening.
We enjoyed our seafood platters with fries and coleslaw. The calamari and scallops melted in your mouth. Cooked to perfection. Lots of food and even had leftovers for the following day’s lunch.

We went to the restaurant after a busy day and were tired. We found the restaurant to be quiet (even though it was busy) and well staffed with friendly and efficient service. The restaurant, including the bathrooms was clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was pleasant and calming and charming. The food was excellent! My husband had the Chicken Souvlaki and I had the lambchops and were NOT disappointed! The rice was fluffy and flavourful, the potatoes were new and perfectly cooked. The lamb... well...the lamb was absolutely mouthwateringly delicious. I would go back and highly recommend it to family and friends.

We split an appetiser, fried calamary rings, ohh...lucky I didn't make that a diner plater as intended! Rings were small, not crispy as expected, saggy. The staff was good, location is prime, place is clean. Too bad they lack on the food side.
