Gesucht wurde im Rahmen eines Lieferanten-Gespräches eine nahge gelegene Örtlichkeit für einen Mittagsimbiss - unser Gastgeber führte uns ins Schützenhaus. Schon von außen ist sichtbar, dass es sich bei diesem Restaurant um ein Haus mit modernem und gleichzeitig gemütlichem Ambiente handelt. Probably a bad day. But this time the ambience was not true. We were 6 people in the conservatory. The room was booked. This led to a volume that no longer allowed entertainment. We found food pretty uncomfortable. The wrong addition served the hunter's carving, the mushrooms hidden under the attic, the sauce was fad. That was better. View all feedback.
We stayed at Easter after some time with the family again at the Schützenhaus. The table was ordered at 6.30 p.m., we were there on time. Two bottles of water were brought directly to the table, for the remaining drinks (beer, cocktail), which we ordered at 18.50, we had to wait until 19.15. The carbonic acid had to be replaced, we were told later. A short info to the guest and the question whether you might want to drink something else in the meantime was not possible. Overall, we sat quite often on the dry all night and as we were watching, that was also the case at other tables. Only once we were asked if we wanted to order something else, the other times we had to call the waitress. Attention to the guests should be greatly improved. The food was very tasty, but we also had to wait for the main course (the appetizers came after greeting from the kitchen quite timely). We could finally eat at 20:40. We were asked to have the Dessert card right away, we were chasing, but we said it had a little time left. And again we waited and waited and waited. No one had anything more to drink and no service was seen. One of us then took the Dessert cards and let us know that we want to have another drink. The waitress stood by the phone at the bar, the other three services were no longer visible. When she came to the table, the good mood and kindness was there at the beginning. She was obviously mad and upset about the fact that we had called her. Really impossible. But unfortunately this has also been the last times that we visited the shelter. Great food, but bad service. And that at the prices. In addition, more attention could be paid to cleanliness. The upholstery of some chairs is very dirty and the glasses were partly not completely clean. Cleaning and cleaning tables is unfortunately more important here at 21.30 a.m. than to serve the guests and make sales. I don't think it's necessary. Shame!
We were there for dinner with a friendly couple and their dog on 5.4.19. Table ordered by phone. Everything worked well and we were welcomed by the waiter and led to the table. Before an aperitive and the appetizer: FRÜHLINGS-TAPAS Our set box has been very good for all of us and it was something suitable for everyone. As the main course, we ate salmon, rumsteak and wild boar ragout. Very delicious and recommended. To close another Expresso. Even if it is a bit more expensive there, but the food was freshly prepared, very tasty and worth its price. We were very happy and come back.
After having had a bad experience in the Schützenhaus Remscheid in June, we decided a few weeks ago to give the restaurant another chance. So we had for the 20th. October a table reserved for five people. We arrived on time, were kindly greeted and got a nice place in the winter garden. We had booked a candlelight dinner and were positively surprised that we were allowed to choose the courses themselves. So after a few minutes everyone found something for their taste. The drinks came and after a while also the greeting from the kitchen. A tomato sauce with gin cream. Oh, that was very delicious. The waitresses were very accommodating and always had an eye on any missing drinks. The pumpkin soup was excellent, and the salmon with pumpkin and rosemary salads was a really great taste experience. Rounded by a dessert and a cappuccino, the food was simply perfect. My family was similar to me. We enjoyed the evening very much and were absolutely convinced by the service. The bad experience is forgotten, and we're going to eat again. I can therefore make a clear recommendation.
The location could be so beautiful if you were to put more worth on cleanliness and the like. The conservatory is really cozy in itself, just when it gets dark with the many light chains... but if you look at the table and the plates, which are probably no longer cleaned, then you're not so euphoric anymore. The chairs (at least all we sat on) were completely worn out. We had to wait an hour and a half, which I find absolutely exaggerated, especially since the restaurant was really not very crowded. The service was all right, but all in all, we will not visit the restaurant again, because they will pick up prices that are absolutely unjustified for what they offer. Too bad, but there is still a need for action.
Yesterday my family invited for dinner at the accommodation, hoping to spend a nice evening and eat delicious. Unfortunately, we felt very comfortable. In the morning, the already reserved table expanded by two people, to whom the lady had bigger problems on the phone and reacted very pampered on the phone. At the entrance my guests and I were finished again by the boss unfriendly and regularly!!!! The procedure for vaccination seemed too long. Finally, so we were instructed by him, it's at the entrance door that we have to show the evidence when entering. The rules of the pandemic are the same in other places, but so unfriendly that they have never been transmitted to us. My 90-year-old, almost blind mother was completely overwhelmed with this situation and the rough sound. I don't understand why this person is released to the paying guests. Finally, you pay for performance and may have certain expectations. Other hosts are happy to welcome guests again, obviously not. If she doesn't have the pleasure of having guests, she should work in the background. In addition, the handling of the employees was also very rough and very loud. Like a boss, you should be a model and not criticize the staff before the guests loudly, or especially with the cutlery. I find it a pity, especially because we were satisfied with the food. Nevertheless, I and my friends will avoid this place in the future. I have to work hard for my money and enjoy a nice evening with delicious food in a nice friendly atmosphere. But if someone fails through his behavior tonight, you are logically very disappointed and will go somewhere else in the future. Gottseidank has many places in Remscheid and close by with very good food where you are welcome and friendly treated and hosted.
